When I first moved to Winnipeg and wanted to buy my first home, I was quite nervous. I was new to the city and a single parent with two teenagers.  I looked in the phone book and contacted Re/Max.  I was lucky enough to have Clara Mitchell as my Real Estate Agent. I was skeptical initially as I thought that they just wanted to make a quick sale and would not have my best interest at heart.  I was so wrong.

As Clara took me from home to home, I realized that she had my best interest at heart. If she saw that a home needed major work, she told me, let’s not even waste our time here, look the roof needs replacing, or you would have to spend money fixing this and that. I was so impressed with her knowledge. I let her know that I wanted to stay in a good area with good schools. She had a personal friend of hers, who was a teacher, check out the schools in the areas that I was interested in. Needless to say, Clara found me the perfect home in the perfect location and the schools are great. She gave me some great advice in purchasing my first home.

I really liked how you weren’t going to let me settle for less, and how you told me not to even go in some houses. It was then I knew you really cared and weren’t just trying to sell me a house. I’m loving my house more and more everyday! I started my Home Daycare in July and it’s been crazy ever since. … I plan on staying in this home for awhile, but when the time comes to move I will definitely give you a call! I cannot believe it is a year already in our home. We have been busy with work, friends and family who also love our house as much as we do.
