- Get estimates for moving companies
- Consider having a garage sale for unwanted items to raise money for new items you may need/want in your new place
- Notify post office of your move. Canada post provides a service to redirect your mail for a monthly fee.
- Contact the following in regards to your new address: Doctor, Dentist, Optometrist, Podiatrist, Veterinarian Banks, Credit card Companies, Investment Companies, Lawyers, Employers, kids schools, any associations/organizations
- Update or cancel gym memberships
- Update home Insurance, Life/personal Insurance
- Update Auto Insurance & Driver’s License
- If you have a pet don’t forget to change the address on the license
- Arrange to have utilities shut off and reconnected in new home, such as Hydro, Cable/satellite, Telephone, Alarms etc…
